Maker Faire and CuriOdyssey: Together at Last!
It’s no secret that we here at CuriOdyssey are fans of invention, building and making. It’s part of the reason we spend so much time designing, prototyping, building and perfecting our hands-on exhibits. So, really, it should be no surprise that we’re big supporters of the creative ethos behind the DIY extravaganza that is Maker Faire.
This year — for the first time ever — we’ll be exhibiting at the Faire! We’ll be hauling out engaging science exhibits, loading up our activity tables with fun and awe-inspiring projects for kids of all ages, and prepping a special spot in our booth for one of the many native California animals we have.
We’re looking forward to rubbing elbows with all kinds of other creative thinkers, innovators, makers, and do-ers. But most of all, we’re excited to meet YOU – the visitor! Be sure to stop by our booth to play and have fun with scientific phenomena!
Here are some photos of the things we saw at the Mini Maker Faire in the East Bay last year. You can check out our Facebook page this weekend to see what we’re up to!
So what are you most excited about doing at Maker Faire this weekend? Is it seeing a giant Tesla coil? Checking out a robot? Or maybe it’s taking one of their many great workshops. Let us know in the comments section!
Maker Faire will be held on May 21 & 22, 2011, at the San Mateo County Fairgrounds.
