STEAM is more than an acronym for science, technology, engineering, art, and math. It is the integrated nature of how our world works. We state in our mission that we give kids, “the tools to deeply understand the changing world”. Hands-on involvement with STEAM develops the critical thinking processes necessary to succeed in today's world and solve complex problems of today and the future.

The skills of creativity, inquiry, observation, problem solving, and learning how to discern fact from opinion are fostered through STEAM education and are vital to the development of future generations of innovators, problem-solvers, and decision makers. At CuriOdyssey, it is a core value that, instead of introducing children to abstract ideas, we provide them concrete STEAM experiences to increase the richness and dynamic aspects of their investigations.

STEAM is interdisciplinary and interwoven into our everyday lives. STEAM education works with problems, challenges, and solutions that are based in the real world. CuriOdyssey believes that it is critical to have STEM education at a young age to leverage a child’s amazing and developing mind. When a child is intuitively exploring their world, they are forming neurological connections which form the basis for how they will navigate and survive in the world. CuriOdyssey educational classes and camps provide facilitated opportunities to “exercise” the brain with deeper exploration of STEAM.

STEAM is integrated into every aspect of the exhibits at CuriOdyssey. STEAM is part of the guiding principles and woven into how all CuriOdyssey exhibits are created. When visitors engage with our exhibits they are experiencing STEAM education firsthand as they explore, manipulate variables, and observe the outcomes with our exclusive and unique science phenomena exhibits.
