SAN MATEO, CA – November 10, 2018 – CuriOdyssey science museum and zoo in San Mateo, California now offers $25 family memberships for families who qualify for Golden State Advantage EBT, SNAP, CalFresh, WIC, Medicaid, Medicare, Healthy Families and subsidized school lunches. CuriOdyssey offers this new membership level, in addition to free admission to qualifying families, in cooperation with the Association of Children’s Museum’s Museums for All initiative to encourage families of all backgrounds to build lifelong museum habits and an interest in science and the natural world.

Through these low and no-cost admission options, CuriOdyssey welcomes all Bay Area children, regardless of financial means, to visit CuriOdyssey’s science playground and zoo. CuriOdyssey is dedicated to building the superpower of science, helping kids think like scientists early and giving them the tools they need to take on the real-world challenges of the future. CuriOdyssey believes science is more important now than ever.

CuriOdyssey’s Family Membership for All program provides substantial annual membership benefits to qualifying families, including reciprocal discounts to over 450 participating ASTC museums and AZA zoos around the world, free parking in Coyote Point Park in San Mateo while visiting CuriOdyssey, and discounts on camps, classes and parties and in the museum store.

CuriOdyssey members and visitors meet rescued, native California wildlife during every visit, including during daily bobcat and otter feedings and presentations by professional keepers. CuriOdyssey’s interactive science exhibits and education programs give kids hands-on experience with natural phenomena, encouraging critical thinking and inquiry-based learning.

New visitors and members before January 6, 2019 receive the added benefit of free admission to CuriOdyssey’s IlluminOdyssey winter light experience for kids. Throughout the year, all members receive free admission to CuriOdyssey’s monthly First Friday Family Nights on the first Friday of each month, when the entire family can play with science, see wildlife up close and enjoy live music and entertainment.
