The campaign is a $35M fundraising effort designed to transform CuriOdyssey from a community gem to a world-class regional science center.
CuriOdyssey is in a San Mateo County park. How is the county participating in this effort?
The County of San Mateo is a key partner in our effort, providing both in-kind and monetary support.
Where will the money come from?
Support for The Campaign for CuriOdyssey will come from private individuals, foundations, corporations and the County of San Mateo.
Are there still opportunities to donate to The Campaign for CuriOdyssey?
We need your support! There are many ways to donate. You can make a donation online here. You can also make a gift of stock or a planned gift. Check out “Ways to Donate.”
How will CuriOdyssey change?
The new CuriOdyssey will feature: 3x the number of exhibits, a bay observation station perched near the treetops, a large natural play area and 2x the learning labs for our acclaimed education programs and camps.
Why are you rebuilding? I love CuriOdyssey just the way it is.
The building no longer meets the need of our growing audience. With a new CuriOdyssey we can expand our commitment to science and wildlife education for children, especially the underserved.
How big is the new building?
The new building will be the same size but with a vastly different configuration designed to better support our mission.
What will parking be like?
The number of parking spots will remain the same.
How long will construction take?
Once started, the construction will take 18 months. During that time, visitors will have access to our animal and select science exhibits.
