CuriOdyssey Members

As a member of CuriOdyssey, you can receive free or discounted admission at other science and wildlife centers. Please explore CuriOdyssey's reciprocity programs below.

We recommend the use of our California Reciprocity List for any institutions in California, as it accounts for geographical restrictions as well as independent agreements that CuriOdyssey has with some institutions in California.

A few things to remember when you travel:

  • Please bring a photo ID and your CuriOdyssey membership card when visiting any of our reciprocal partners. The logo of the reciprocity program you intend to use should be clearly visible on the card.
    • Please note that some printed CuriOdyssey membership cards may use an older version of the ASTC logo that is invalid as proof of qualification. The card you display must clearly show the words "ASTC Passport Program" and not "ASTC" alone. Please contact our membership department for information about accessing your digital membership card with updated logos.
  • The number of visitors admitted with your membership varies with each institution. Other features of their equivalent membership, such as store discounts and parking fees, may not be included with your admission.
  • Lists are subject to change without notice. We recommend calling each facility prior to your visit to be sure of your reciprocal benefits with CuriOdyssey membership.

Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA)

All CuriOdyssey members get access to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) reciprocity program. Please see the AZA Reciprocity Page to see the complete list of participating AZA institutions.

CuriOdyssey members receive a 50% discount at all of the zoos and aquariums on this list, except "Free TO PUBLIC" locations where CuriOdyssey members can receive different listed benefits.

Please note that not all AZA-accredited institutions participate in the AZA reciprocity program and only the institutions listed on the AZA Reciprocity Program website qualify for reciprocal benefits.

Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC)

All CuriOdyssey members get access to the Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) Passport Program. Please see the ASTC Passport Program Page to see the complete list of participating ASTC institutions.

The ASTC Passport Program is restricted to locations outside of 90 miles of both your residence and of CuriOdyssey, however CuriOdyssey has made independent agreements with several local institutions to still honor reciprocity, so we recommend use of our California Reciprocity List to see what local institutions may qualify.

As of January 1, 2026, there are two types of benefits that members may receive:

  • All CuriOdyssey membership levels except Individual Plus qualify as a "Group" membership under ASTC reciprocity, allowing a maximum of two adults and four children (including at least one cardholder) access to participating institutions.
  • Individual Plus members qualify as an "Individual" membership under ASTC reciprocity, allowing one cardholder access to participating institutions.
  • If you have a Super Guest Pass or an Explorer Pass, you still do not qualify for reciprocal admission at ASTC institutions.

ASTC's list of qualifying CuriOdyssey membership levels only shows our new membership structure levels (Discover, Create, Imagine, Lead, and Membership for All), but our previous levels (Individual, Individual Plus, Family, Family Plus, and MFA) all still qualify for reciprocity through the end of 2026.

To make sure you receive your reciprocity benefits, when visiting reciprocal institutions please be prepared to show a photo ID and your digital CuriOdyssey membership card, which has the ASTC Passport Program Logo (those words are in the logo itself). This logo is proof of your eligibility. Please note that physical membership cards which display an ASTC logo that does not contain the word “Passport” do not qualify as proof of reciprocity, so we recommend having a current digital card ready to present.

Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM)

Imagine, Lead, Family Plus, Advocate, Innovators Circle, and Director’s Circle members get access to the reciprocity program of the Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM). This benefit grants admission for at least one member and one guest at the host institution’s member general admission price, as well as member pricing in shop (if applicable). Please note that restrictions may apply to events, lectures, and exhibitions, or based on geographical proximity to CuriOdyssey.

Members from Reciprocal Institutions

We ask that all guests with membership at a reciprocal institution call ahead to confirm status as geographic restrictions may apply. Member card and photo ID are required. Unless otherwise specified, discounts do not apply at special events or in the CuriOdyssey Shop. Members from reciprocal institutions are not eligible for CuriOdyssey Member benefits such as discounts on birthdays and education programs or Camp CuriOdyssey registration.

Discount tickets are not sold in advance, reciprocal tickets can be purchased at the door on all open days from 10am until the last ticket sales at 4pm. Please see below for guidelines related to your program; if you have any questions about discount tickets please email info@curiodyssey.org.

AZA: All AZA members receive a 50% discount on general admission matching your membership up to two member adults and four member children.

ASTC: If member residence and reciprocal institution is outside of 90 miles from CuriOdyssey, "group" members receive free general admission for two adults and four children and "individual" members receive free general admission for one person. Proof of residence is required and a named cardholder must be present. Please check your institution's listing on ASTC's Passport program documents to see if you have an "individual" or "group" membership.

ROAM: ROAM members enjoy free admission for themselves and one guest, plus a discount at the CuriOdyssey Shop.

Independent California Agreement (including local ASTC): If your institution participates, members receive the discount listed in the “Reciprocity Agreement” column on the California Reciprocity List matching your membership up to two member adults and four member children. This applies if your home institution is highlighted in purple or it is listed but does not participate in any of our reciprocal programs. ASTC members please note that not all local institutions participate. Residential geographic restrictions do not apply.
