Calling all Little Ghosts and Goblins: It’s Time for Slither + Squeak!
For the past few weeks, museum staff and educators have been gearing up for one of our favorite events: Slither and Squeak.
What exactly is Slither and Squeak, you ask? It’s our family-friendly, hands-on Halloween extravaganza. The whole family is invited, and everyone is encouraged to dress up in their Halloween finest.
Each year, our talented educators dream up exciting activities for the event, and this year is no exception. Kids will have the opportunity to explore and investigate science-based activities (with a Halloween twist!) all throughout the museum. The sound station will encourage kids to play with echoes and reverberation, and the optical illusion area will let kids explore mirrors and light. There will also be a “messy touchy” station where visitors can concoct squishy slime and even learn to dissect animals! Guests will also have the chance to hear wildlife keepers debunk myths about some of the most notorious animals at the museum.
Everyone here is very excited for event. We hope you’ll be able to make it out to celebrate Halloween with us the Coyote Point Museum way!
To join us for Slither and Squeak, come to the museum on Sunday, October 31st between 12-4pm. Best of all, admission to Slither and Squeak is included in the cost of a ticket to the museum. Hope to see you on Sunday!
