IluminOdyssey Preview 2021

Electrify your child’s imagination at CuriOdyssey’s IlluminOdyssey, a dazzling winter light experience designed for children and families. See four levels of walls, floors and ceilings come alive with radiant, moving color. Our thrilling winter light exhibition returns to the peninsula on Friday, November 19, 2020. This extraordinary exhibition ignites kids’ imagination with brilliant laser art, gleaming hands-on exhibits and a lustrous forest of touchable, radiant sculptures.

Children are encouraged to carry glowing lanterns through CuriOdyssey’s immense Redwood Hall to explore dazzling exhibits, dial a rainbow of pixelated colors, and play inside a village of laser luminescence with lustrous, geometric shelters awash in laser lights. Kids can dance with circles of spinning light, using their senses to investigate and journey through this wondrous world of moving, radiant light.

Touch a plasma ball to create colorful electric strands. Use a drawing robot to design a phosphorescent image. Watch the mesmerizing motion of a glowing blossom sculpture as you control its changing appearance. New features this year include a colored shadow wall, UV area and a large, programmed hanging LED light installation, which is hard to miss.

All facets of this family-friendly exhibition focus on the beauty and characteristics of light and encourage kids to actively learn through exploration. CuriOdyssey’s hands-on approach to education awakens kids’ curiosity, builds critical thinking skills and inspires an interest in science and the natural world.

Experience the wonder and beauty of this exhibition Wednesdays through Sundays, 10 am to 4 pm, from November 19 through January 9, with extended hours until 8:00 pm on December 3rd and January 7th for CuriOdyssey’s monthly First Friday Night events.

The IlluminOdyssey exhibition is included with your admission to CuriOdyssey.
