Bubbles & Rainbows Weekend

One of the most popular family science gatherings ever at CuriOdyssey—this year’s Bubbles & Rainbows weekend inspired thousands, and set a new record!

Over the weekend, hundreds of Bay Area kids were every day scientists as they dabbled in elasticity, surface tension, chemistry, light, and geometry with rainbow and bubble science stations throughout CuriOdyssey.

Rainbow foam eruptions that were a delightful scientific reaction activity; click here for a how-to.

Change your perspective on ‘the bubble’ with Tom Noddy! His repertoire included huge bubbles, geometric bubbles, and bubbles with fog inside.

Inspired by Tom Noddy? Guests could make their own bubbles with fog inside, too.

Did you know? This special programming and more was included with daily admission or membership. Head over to our invitation Bubbles & Rainbows 2018 blog for more of the featured science attractions.

Bubbles & Rainbows 2018 set a new record.

Bubbles & Rainbows set a new record on Sunday for most memberships sold in one day without promotions! A membership to CuriOdyssey means more opportunities with each visit. As children grow, so does their understanding of the science exhibits and animals that call CuriOdyssey home. A lasting gift, learn about membership perks and how to sign up here.

As a non-profit, we couldn’t do this without you.

Donate now to give all kids the superpower of science. Learn about our expansion—accommodating our community’s growing need for more exhibits and safe science spaces.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our volunteers who helped this weekend come together. Special thanks to San Mateo Country Pride Center volunteers, Tom Noddy, Fletch’s catering and all the staff who helped guests navigate such a popular event. To our members and guests, we are blown away by your support! Curious for more? View upcoming events here.
