CuriOdyssey is excited to announce the newest addition to our Board of Directors, Pedro David Espinoza, a distinguished tech entrepreneur, investor, and passionate advocate for education and innovation. Pedro’s remarkable journey from mechanic to Silicon Valley entrepreneur exemplifies the transformative power of education and STEM fields—a journey we are thrilled to support and promote through his leadership at CuriOdyssey.

Pedro’s path to success is anything but conventional. Starting as a mechanic in Peru, he overcame significant challenges to graduate from some of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including Berkeley, Stanford, and Harvard. As the founder of SmileyGo, a platform optimizing corporate NGO investments, Pedro expanded his impact to 30 countries, helping organizations make meaningful contributions through technology. He also launched Pan Peru USA, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering women entrepreneurs and promoting STEM education.

Today, as Founder and General Partner of PDE Ventures, Pedro manages investments in over 20 startups and holds LP positions in multiple venture funds. His work has shaped the tech landscape and directly impacted Silicon Valley’s growth. Pedro’s career spans executive roles at the Silicon Valley Leadership Group and Ever Medical Technologies, contributing to his diversity, technology, and entrepreneurship expertise.

Pedro’s passion for education and well-being aligns perfectly with CuriOdyssey’s mission to inspire the next generation of scientists, thinkers, and innovators. His commitment to STEM education and the development of future leaders is reflected in the statement he shared with us:

Growing up in Peru, seeing firsthand manufacturing facilities, natural gas stations, and Toyota mechanical engineering shops enabled me to aspire to pursue a career in technology entrepreneurship.
