Presenting two new experiences at CuriOdyssey!
The Nature Story Loop & Environmental Education Garden
At CuriOdyssey, we know that stories are powerful tools for change. This summer, we were thrilled to launch two new experiences: our Environmental Education Garden and Nature Story Loop! These two new additions offer engaging experiences that invite families and visitors of all ages, to share their connections with the natural world, as well as hear the sounds and voices of others doing the same.
The Nature Story Loop is a self-guided storybook trail, designed to spark curiosity and knowledge in guests of all ages. Each stop along the loop highlights a unique environmental theme. The trail incorporates themes from climate justice and biodiversity to the mental health benefits of time outdoors. As families journey through the trail, you might spot a familiar plant, hear birdsong, or learn something new from a red-legged frog.
This bilingual (English and Spanish) storytelling experience is part of our growing Conservation Trail—an evolving journey through our campus that links science, sensory experiences, and the real animals that are in our care. Along the trail, we invite guests to share images and stories that capture their own personal nature experiences. These visitor reflections will become part of a shared, community-powered archive that celebrates our relationships with the environment.
Created by our animal care and conservation team, the Nature Story Loop is part of our growing Conservation Trail, with more features coming in the next two years. With future support from individual donors and foundations, our goal is to expand the Conservation Trail by restoring habitats and by creating more ways to connect with nature.
With support from our community and our donors, we aim to continue to create spaces where people feel heard, included, and inspired to protect the natural world. We would love to hear what nature means to you. Your connection to nature matters—and everyone is listening.
