In this adaptation-focused workshop, participants will learn that many animals have unique features that help them survive in their environment. Participants will go on a hike within Coyote Point Park to spot local wildlife and discuss the animals encountered and what features may be an adaptation to survive in this environment. Participants will also have an opportunity to engage with some of CuriOdyssey’s biofacts collection such as touching and closely examining different furs, feathers, scales, and exoskeletons. Then participants will design a beast of their own demonstrating what they understand about why adaptations occur in animals.
