Protect Our Raptors: How You Can Help
April 23 @ 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Did you know that the hawks and owls soaring over our neighborhoods are in danger and that we can help protect them? Come meet two incredible wildlife experts who have dedicated their lives to keeping these magnificent birds safe!
Lisa Owens Viani, Executive Director of Raptors Are The Solution, and Allen Fish, former Director of the Golden Gate Raptor Observatory, will share fascinating insights into raptor ecology, the hidden dangers that rodenticides pose to birds of prey, and the positive steps we can all take to make our communities safer for these amazing animals.
And here’s a fun bit of local history, Allen’s lifelong love of raptors was sparked right here at CuriOdyssey by a close encounter with a great horned owl as a kid. Now he’s one of the leading voices in raptor conservation. Pretty cool, right?
Perfect for little nature explorers and their grown-ups. You might just leave inspired to make your own backyard a little more raptor-friendly!
