First Friday Nights

Come together as a family, visit early, and stay late!

Swing into the weekend with science, animals, music, food trucks, and fun! On the first Friday of every month, from 5 PM until 8 PM, parents and kids celebrate together at CuriOdyssey.

Dance to some of your favorite hits, while enjoying animal presentations and science activities. Activities and programs are different each time, so make it a monthly tradition!

Climb on board for our September spin on First Friday Nights, just in time for Transit Month and Rail Safety Month in the Bay Area! This month we're celebrating the joy of getting from here to there, with live music, Ambassador Animals, hands-on activities, and a few surprises along the way.

What's in store:

🎵 Live Tunes with Love Machine
Let the band set the rhythm for your evening as Love Machine keeps the energy moving all night long.

🐾 Animals in Action
Get up close with our Ambassador Animals, including Quimby the Kestrel, a millipede, and a snake, with our very own Keeper, Michelle, guiding the way.

🚂 Model Train Showcase
All aboard! CuriOdyssey's Head of Exhibits brings out a large-scale model train for an up-close look that will delight train enthusiasts of every age.

Refuel between adventures:

Barya Kitchen — A San Jose-born Filipino-American food truck bringing modern twists on traditional comfort food to the Bay Area. Chef Rod Reyes and team craft bold, familiar flavors done in a fresh new way.

Alonso Foods — A Hayward family-owned gem serving handmade breads, pastries, and scratch-made Mexican food since the mid-1990s. The kind of food that tastes like it was made with love because it was.
