Put your engineering skills to the test, by designing and building the tallest structure you can. Scouts will learn about building structures, and put them under stress tests to see what can take them down.

What do animals need to survive in the wild? Students will learn about an animal’s niche in nature and discover how individual organisms are connected to one another. Outdoor exploration is a large part of this workshop as we search for tracks, scat, and other signs that animals inhabit the park and find what they need for survival: food, water, and space.

In this class the scouts will learn about what it takes to be a paleontologist. They will get to see real fossils and learn how they form. Next, scouts will take the steps paleontologists have to do to safely prepare and transport fossils. Ending it all with trying to create their own dinosaur and think how it would survive in an environment.

Ready to learn how to be a scientist? With this program scouts will learn about the steps of the scientific process and then get to run their own experiments. Scouts will experiment with the principles of density and buoyancy and see how these forces can be changed.
