We are dedicated to providing excellent care for our animals. Our animals receive the highest care, demonstrated by the record-setting life spans of some of our animals and our accreditation by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Fewer than 10% of zoos and aquariums nationally receive accreditation by AZA.

MEET DYLAN

Dylan the gray fox was found in a coma when he was just four months old!

Dylan was found in a coma on the side of the road in Los Angeles and rushed to a rehab center. He received surgery on his injured leg. At just 4 months old, he needed to be fed from a syringe and slept 23 hours a day.


Dylan could not be safely released and came to live at CuriOdyssey. Dylan's leg is mostly healed now, though it still sometimes "ballerinas" out into first position.


He is shy, cautious, and enjoys receiving the occasional scratch under the chin from his favorite keeper. He also loves fresh berries and fruit!

MEET SOLO

Solo the great horned owl has called CuriOdyssey Home for 22 years!

Solo was found starving in a field in East Bay and missing half of her left wing. She was unable to fly or hunt.


She was taken to a local wildlife center, where a volunteer trained her. Solo was nearly trained when she came to CuriOdyssey and has been an education bird here for the last 22 years.


Now nearing her retirement, Solo has met thousands of kids and many families know her by name. Solo is expressive, headstrong, and enjoys when her keeper gives her a "rain" bath with a hose!
